Aaron Lee Abbott, 64, passed away at his Washington residence during the afternoon of September 13, 2025. He was born in Jasper on January 7, 1961, the son of Lyndon Ray and Billy Jean (Buchta) Abbott.
After high school, Aaron served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a 1984 Ivy Tech graduate earning a degree in diesel mechanics. He was employed by Davis Trucking as a truck driver.
Aaron was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about anything with a motor - Jeeps, motorcycles, cars, and trucks. He was also a devoted family man whether they were blood relation, or of the heart - he counted friends as family.
Those left to cherish Aaron's memory include his wife, Debbie Crays of Jasper; his sister, Kyra Lynn Rose of Savannah, Tennessee; his niece, Billy Jean Rose and her husband, Paul Stark of Decker, Indiana; grandnephew, Lane Doades; grandnieces, Natalie Rose and Mackenzie Jacob.
During his lifetime, Aaron mourned the loss of his parents, Lyndon Ray and Billy Jean Abbott; and his sister, Stephanie Faith Abbott.
