Arthur Joseph Jolie

Arthur J. Jolie, age 90, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 in Chesterton, Indiana. He was born July 13, 1934 to Estell (nee Koval) and Joseph Jolie in Chicago, Illinois.
The family moved to Woohull, Illinois and Arthur graduated from Bensenville High School. He went on to graduate from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, earning a degree in Engineering. He worked as a Design Engineer for Verson and retired from Castle Engineering in 1998.
In a computer match, he met and married Claire in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1968. In 1970 they moved to Chesterton, Indiana. Art and Claire then spent several years fixing up "This Old House" and traveling around the world. They visited all seven continents. Art enjoyed playing golf in the summer and riding his Deere to cut the grass.
Art was a long-time member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He served on the Vestry, was a Lay Eucharistic Minister and an usher.
He is survived by his wife, Claire (nee Kelsch); and sister, Dolores; as well as many cousins. Art was a kind, generous and loving husband, who is greatly missed.
A memorial visitation for Art will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 237 E. 1200 N., Chesterton, IN 46304, with a memorial service to follow the visitation at 11:00 am, with Pastor Erik Grayvold officiating at the church.
