Arthur E. Kaiser Sr., known affectionately as Arty to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, at the age of 88 in Hazlet. Born on August 5, 1936, in Newark, New Jersey.
Arty was predeceased by his beloved parents, Edward and Anne Kaiser and his wife, Priscilla Kaiser, who passed away in the year 2000, and his brother Ronald Kaiser. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his devoted wife, Joan Kaiser. His legacy will also be carried on through his children, Arthur Kaiser and his wife Nora, Glenn Kaiser and his wife Michelle, Joyce Miller and her husband John, Michele Barshewski and her husband Dale, and Denise Sarpolus and her husband Scott. His brothers, William Kaiser and Gary Van Nest, Arty's thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren will miss their grandfather's playful spirit and loving guidance.
Arty proudly served his country in the US Army, a time during which he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. His work ethic and leadership skills were further demonstrated in his career as a service manager for Suburban Communications, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike.
An avid sports fan, Arty's enthusiasm for the Giants, Yankees, and Knicks was contagious. He would rarely miss a game, often sharing these moments with his family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Bowling was another passion of Arty's, a hobby that saw him competing in several local leagues. But it was his Sunday dinners that truly reflected the heart of a man who valued family above all else. These gatherings were a testament to his love for bringing people together and his joy in sharing a meal with those he held dear.
Arty's love for adventure and the outdoors was evident in his trips to the Thousand Islands, where he embraced the beauty of nature and the tranquility of the water. His adventurous spirit shone through during the safari trips he organized for his grandchildren. These excursions to feed the animals were not just about the thrill of the experience, but also about imparting valuable lessons on kindness and the importance of respecting all living creatures.
Arty's absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His laughter, which could light up a room, his stories that captivated young and old, and his unwavering support and love for his family will never be forgotten. His was a life well-lived, full of passion, generosity, and an unrelenting positivity that inspired everyone he crossed paths with.
He was a beacon of light to all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to shine through the lives of those he has left behind. Arty's journey through life was a remarkable one, and he will be remembered with fondness and admiration.
