Arthur Krein Obituary
Beloved husband of Myra for over 56 years; adored father of Renee (Helen Taillon) Krein, Douglas (Marie Davis) Krein; cherished grandfather of Logan Krein, Elly Krein and Jimmy Davis; loving son of the late Arthur and the late Marion; caring brother of Paul (the late Mary) Krein; fond uncle and friend to many.
Arthur grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and fell in love with his wife, Myra before moving to Palatine where they raised their children and lived for over 50 years. Arthur enjoyed listening to music and was an avid movie lover. He was an incredibly kind, humble and generous person who always put his friends and family first. His love of all creatures great and small was a significant part of his life, especially all the cats he rescued over his lifetime.
Arthur will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 3-8PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 12 for funeral prayers and a procession to St. Theresa Church for Mass at 10AM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PAWS Chicago, or a charity of your choice. For info, 847-359-8020.
