Arthur LeVern Lattaker was born on March 12, 1939, to Bert and Laura Lattaker in Brevard, NC.
Arthur received his formal education at Butler High School in Hartsville, SC. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon on the Deacon Board.
Arthur enlisted into the United States Army at the young age of fifteen. He was the owner of Art’s Carpet Service doing carpet installation for fifty years. In Arthur’s spare time, he loved to travel and enjoyed fishing.
Arthur L. Lattaker departed this life on November 05, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Lattaker; mother, Laura (Boyce) Lattaker; brothers, Bert Lattaker II and Sonny Lattaker; sisters, Hattie Faulkner and Audrey Newman; niece, Natasha Faulkner; and three nephews, Bartley, Tracy, and Stephen.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Donald (Vanessa) Jackson, Brenda (Steven) Alexander, Wendy Hudson, and Arthenius Lattaker; grandchildren, Kwanza (Brandy) Benjamin, Ahmad (Doriel) Jackson, Arthenius (Brian) Colvin, Trinisha Mobley, George Alexander, Calvin Hudson, April Carmeon, and Galen Smith; sister, Pearl Lattaker, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, two nieces, three nephews, and a host of cousins."
