Arthur C Maiers

Arthur C. Maiers, 99, of Hazlet N.J. passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025.
Arthur (Art) was born in Newark, NJ to the late Arthur Maiers and his wife Charlotte (Peterson).
Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He later met his loving wife Doris (Chmielecki) and they raised their three sons in Hazlet, NJ.
Art was employed as a mason/bricklayer for forty years.
Art, a devoted husband, father and grandfather enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking for all gatherings and events. He spent numerous exciting days at the Monmouth Racetrack and was a frequent visitor to Atlantic City, NJ. Art could also be found watching his favorite teams Notre Dame and the NY Yankees.
Art was predeceased by his son Arthur, brother Robert and sisters Audrey and Helen. He is survived by his wife of 74 years Doris Maiers, sons Brian and Sheila Maiers of N.C. and Ken and Christine Maiers of Hazlet. Art is the loving grandfather (Poppy) to seven grandchildren; Brian (Stephanie), Kristin (Mark), Stacie, Arthur J., Kenny, Lauren and Danny Maiers and two great grandchildren Madison and Ruth Maiers.
Visitation will be held Friday May 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM with a prayer service at 12:00 PM at the Day Funeral Home in Keyport NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Arthur, please visit our Tree Store.
