Ashland – Arthur Charles Schicatano Jr., 68, of 708 High Road, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Danville on October 9, 1954 he was the son of the late Arthur and Vera (Dudeck) Schicatano, Sr. He graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1972.
On February 4, 1994 in Las Vegas he married Laura Buttler, who survives. He was an Iron Worker for the Union.
In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by five sons, Arthur Schicatano III of AZ, Andrew Nelson and his wife, Jessica of CO, Stephen Schicatano of CA, Jeno Schicatano and his wife, Katrina of Marion Heights, and Angelo Schicatano of Ashland; a daughter, Erin Best and her husband, Randy of FL; mother-in-law, Barbara Buttler of Ashland; brother, Joe Schicatano and his wife, Debra of Shamokin; Sister, Bernadette Baskin and her husband, Carl of Shamokin; a brother-in-law, John Steele; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Arthur is preceded in death by father-in-law, Arlis Buttler; and two sisters, Maryanne Schicatano, and Christine Steele.
