Arthur Tellers

The Mass of Christian burial for Arthur Tellers of Wadena, will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, at St. Frederick's Catholic Church in Verndale, with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Visitation will be held at St. Frederick's Church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:45.
At the age of 90, Art passed away on March 20, 2023, at The Meadows Assisted Living in Wadena, MN.
Arthur George Tellers was born to Peter and Marie (Goeller) Tellers on September 14, 1932, at home in Bluffton, MN. He attended St. John the Baptist Parochial School in Bluffton through the eighth grade. Art worked for Vorderbruggen Construction for 11 years. He then worked for Wadena Sawmills (now Timber Roots) for 23 years. Twenty of those years he worked as a mill worker. All this time, Art continued to farm and care for the "Teller Putter Farm".
On June 22, 1968, Art was united in marriage with Jeanne Pheiffer at St. Frederick's Catholic Church in Verndale. Not having children of their own, Art and Jeanne gave special attention to the neighboring families and kids.
Greeting Art on heaven's side was his wife, Jeanne (8-29-2016); parents, Peter and Marie; along with his brother, Father Marven Tellers, O.S.C.
Remembering Art will be a host of kind neighbors and close friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be all who called him friend. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Hegarty, Ken Jensen, Bob Derby, Jim Derby, Pete Schmitz and Alan Freitag.
Burial will be in St. Frederick's Catholic Cemetery, Verndale, MN.
