Arthur Douglas Vadner

Arthur Douglas Vadner, 80, of Dawsonville passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025.

Born September 4, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Godfrey and Mary Ellen Vadner, he was a graduate of Paschal High School and the Texas Christian University. Doug had lived in this area for over 50 years, and over 23 years in his current community. For all who knew him, he was a terrific man who retired to this community after many years in corporate sales. Doug was a man of great humor whose stories were both educational, informative and always funny. Being raised in Ft. Worth, Texas his career spanned decades working for many nationally recognized companies which included selling Rust-Oleum paints. Doug was known as the "Early retiree" who was able to enjoy his retirement days as a man who was an expert in the memorabilia business and never missed an opportunity to visit with friends at his daily lunch outings. As all who knew him would expect, he would rather everyone remember him as a fun loving man.

Everyone who attended will always remember his fantastic 70th, 75th and most recently his 80th Birthday parties attended by many of the characters from his wonderful stories. A true testament to his ability to make everyone he met into a friend.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Phillips Vadner; sons, Jon (Marcie) Vadner, Rob Vadner; stepson, Colby (Amber) Denard; sister, Carole (Jack) Kinnebrew; brothers, Gary (Brenda) Vadner, and Michael Vadner; grandchildren, Jaxon Vadner, Peyton Vadner; step grandchildren, Landyn Harris, and Max Denard.

Rather than the sadness of a funeral or memorial service, his final requests were that we all keep his memories in our hearts.
