Arthur Carl Yaussi of rural Hiawatha passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the age of 67.
He was born in Atchison, KS on August 20, 1957, to Donald and Patsy Yaussi. He attended early school in Baker, KS and later attended Hiawatha and Horton, KS schools and graduated from Horton with the class of 1975. He went on to complete a Farm and Ranch Management program at Vo-Tech in Atchison, KS.
He lived and worked on the family farms in Baker, Kansas his entire life with his father, brother, and many family members and neighbors. He was a dedicated farmer. He would help anyone in need, and he never met a stranger. Arthur was most known for his friendly smile and personality.
He married Marian Hobbs in Horton, KS on September 11, 1976. She survives of the home.
Arthur and Marian have two children: Amy Olberding of Platte City, MO and Jeremy (and Julia) of Topeka, KS. They have 5 Grandchildren: Taylor, Parker, and Kendall Edwards and Madison and Austin Yaussi.
Additional survivors include his Mother, Patsy Yaussi, Brother, Alan (Connie) Yaussi, and Sister, Debbie (Knute) Knudson.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Donald Yaussi, Maternal Grandparents, Carl and Geraldine Smith, and Paternal Grandparents, Arthur and Anna Yaussi (Chick).
A private family service will be held graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested in Arthur's name to the Brown County Ag Museum of which Arthur and Marian were lifetime members of. They may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S 7th, Hiawatha 66434.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday.
Celebration of Life is planned for 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Blue Bulding in Horton
