My sympathy to A.T.´s family. I was in the Legislature when A.T. was in the Governor´s office and the first years of his time at the ACI. He was a remarkable man, dedicated, committed, compassionate, forward thinking and above all kind. He will be missed. I thank him for his service. Nancy Benoit

I had Mr Wall at CCRI where he taught a penology class. I thoroughly enjoyed his class every Tuesday night. He was a great guy. So sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. Marie a former student

I am so sad to learn that A.T. passed. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend his services due to another commitment. My sincerest and deepest condolences to Maria, his children, family, and friends. A.T. was a wonderful person...quick witted, brilliant, kind and considerate...always lending an ear. I have many fond memories of attending managers' and attorneys' meetings with A.T. But two anecdotes stand out to me. My very first day at the Department of Corrections, A.T. and I toured Maximum Security. When we got fully through the building and walked into the yard, he announced on his radio to the Correctional Officers that I was "the person who'll rule on all your grievances." I responded with "No, don't say that! They're going to pick me off from the tower!" We both burst out laughing, and he never let me forget I said that! The second incident was when I saw him in his car in front of Medium Security being detained by a Cranston police officer. When the police officer left, I asked if he was okay, and he responded, "He just gave me a speeding ticket, with all the inmates and CO's watching!" I told him, "You just demonstrated you're not above the law." Again, we both laughed, and he never let me forget I said that, either. I have many more fond memories of A.T., as do all those he worked with, and I know that he will live on in many hearts.

I too spent my youth dressed in Brooks Brothers finery. My uncle was an executive. Our condolences to Maria and family.
