Ashley Marie Boyd, beloved daughter, niece, cousin, and friend, was born on December 26, 1989, in Brooklyn, NY, to proud parents Lisa Marie McKnight and Anthony Boyd. She peacefully passed away on June 10, 2023, in Atlanta, GA, at the age of 33. Ashley leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Ashley's early years were shaped by her upbringing in Brooklyn, NY. She embodied determination and resilience from a young age, qualities that propelled her through life. In pursuit of higher education, Ashley later moved to South Carolina, where she continued to thrive academically and personally. Ashley's dedication to learning was evident as she excelled in her studies, graduating at the top of her class from UNC Chapel Hill. Throughout her life, Ashley had a deep love for sports, both as a participant and a supporter. She had the honor of being on the practice squad for the UNC women's basketball team, where she proudly represented the Tar-Heels. Ashley's passion for sports and her commitment to excellence led her to pursue a double major, earning dual bachelor's degrees in Sport & Exercise Science and Sociology. She continued her academic journey at GA State, obtaining a Master of Sport Health Sciences from Life University. Ashley's thirst for knowledge did not stop there, as she also earned a Project Management Degree from Brenau University. Ashley's professional accomplishments were numerous and a testament to her dedication and determination. She held positions that showcased her exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. As an Assistant General Manager at Starbucks, she demonstrated her leadership abilities and love for the culinary arts. Ashley's role as a Project Operations Manager at Safari Hospitality Management showcased her project management expertise. She also worked as a Project Coordinator at United Way and served as a Contract Specialist at Toyota. Her numerous certifications, including Smartsheets Certified, Coaching Kata Essentials Certified, Procore Administrator Certified, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, illustrated her commitment to professional growth. Beyond her professional endeavors, Ashley possessed qualities that made her truly special. She was a God-fearing woman whose faith guided her actions and decisions. Ashley was known for her disciplined approach to life, routinely working out and maintaining a healthy diet. Her talent extended to the kitchen, where she delighted family and friends with her culinary creations. Ashley's love for family and friends was immeasurable. She cherished spending quality time with her loved ones, whether it was attending events, embarking on trips, or simply enjoying each other's company. Her warm smile and infectious laughter could light up any room, creating lifelong memories for all fortunate enough to be in her presence. Tech-savvy and possessing an entrepreneurial spirit, Ashley constantly sought ways to contribute positively to her community. She dedicated her time and efforts to volunteering, leaving an impact wherever she went. Ashley's intellect, kind heart, and passion for helping others endeared her to all who knew her. Ashley Marie Boyd will be deeply missed by her grandparents, Richard Lee and Pearline McKnight (Gma & Papa), her loving aunt, Kimberly McKnight-Bowens, uncle Rodney Bowens, uncle Rodney Boyd, her 1st cousins, Tyrell and Taliyah McKnight, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. In honoring Ashley's life, a funeral service will be held on [date] at [time] at [place].
