Ashley Ann Damron

Ashley Ann (Becky) Damron, age 40 of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away on September 8th, 2024.
Ashley was born on February 21, 1984 to Marsha Osborn and Robert Damron in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Ashley proudly leaves behind four daughters Tai'Leayah Damron-Bell(24) and husband Hayden Bell (25), Destini Damron (23), A'amiyah Damron (21), and Jaida Damron (18). Her girls grew into women of incredible strength, understanding, and unconditional love after their mother.
She leaves behind her loving siblings Brandi Austin and her 4 children, Crystal Rios and her 2 children, Steven Damron and his 2 children, Bobbie Damron and her 5 children, and Jamie Damron and his 3 children. She leaves behind many friends and family that she loved dearly.
Ashley was known for her long time commitment to jobs such as Casey's General Stores, Pizza Man, and Quality Inn in the Mount Vernon area. Ashley's customer service brought her many lifelong friends over the years. To know her is to love her.
Ashley was also known by her alias name "Becky" Damron. Becky was as many would say is "The Life of the Party." She loved to entertain and make sure that everyone around was having themselves a good time, no matter the circumstances. She would talk to others about the difficult situations we all face in life, and then dry their tears and grab them a drink. Becky never let circumstances in life keep her from having a good time, and she made sure everyone around her had a good time too. Becky loved to sing, dance, and make herself known to all. Becky had a leading role in inspiring everyone to join in on festivities. She would party all night and sleep all day. She loved her sleep, and now she can sleep in peace.
Services will be held at Hughey's Funeral Home on Friday, September 13th starting with a visitation from 5 PM to 7 PM and following with the funeral on September 14th, 2024 at 1 PM.
