Ashley Brooke Merritt Edwards

On Friday , August 29th, 2025 Ashley Brooke Merritt Edwards at only age 39, passed away at her home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. She was born in Lexington Kentucky, on October 24 1985, to Eddie Merritt and the late Charlotte Sue Collins Allen. She leaves behind two surviving loving children oldest daughter, Hannah MaKayla Edwards, and youngest daughter Haven Grace Edwards. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Evin Nicole Merritt (sis-star) and Bethany Camille Velasco (sissy), along with her husband, Joshua Velasco (bubby), nieces and nephews, Mia Velasco, Jackson Velasco, Eli Velasco, and Carter Velasco. A special cousin, Candace Michele Collins, a loving aunt, Janet Collins, and her bonus mother, Sharon Robin Merritt. She is also survived by her four legged friend Fendi.  Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Betts & West Funeral Home, with Pastor Jay Webb officiating. The burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Bearers will be Michael Sharp, Steven Merritt, Josh Velasco, John Merritt, Jr., Benjamin Schiffbaur, and Keaton Wilson.  Jenny Cummins Marshall will serve as an honorary bearer. The visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.
