Ashley Caroline Rhodes, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in South Carolina. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m. at First Methodist Church in Americus, Georgia. Reverend Daryl Brown will officiate. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the church social hall prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at their residence, 2109 Hanover Street, Albany, Georgia. Ashley Caroline Rhodes, affectionately called "Ash" by her loved ones and friends, was born in Americus, Georgia on April 14, 1995. She attended elementary school at Southland Academy and Lee County Schools. She attended Deerfield-Windsor School from 2006 - 2013 where she was a graduate of the Class of 2013. She furthered her education at Kennesaw State University. At her alma mater, Deerfield-Windsor School, Ashley cheered for the Knights' football and basketball teams, but her favorite role was serving as head statistician for her daddy's track team each spring. Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carol James Halstead, her paternal grandfather, Curtis B. Rhodes, and her uncle, James Wade Halstead, Jr. (Jim). She is survived by her devoted parents, Craig Steven Rhodes and Heather Halstead Rhodes, her loving and supportive brother and sister-in-law, Casey Jordan Rhodes and Regan Thomas Rhodes of Gainesville, Georgia, and her maternal grandfather, James Wade Halstead, Sr. of Americus, Georgia. Additional survivors include a number of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends. Ashley was a creative writer and talented artist known for her beautiful smile and infectious personality. Ashley had a heart of gold and a love for animals. One of her missions was to rescue abandoned dogs and find a good home for them. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. At the time of her death, Ashley was employed by Plaxco as a customer service advocate. Memorial contributions may be made to Southland Academy, Deerfield-Windsor School, Grace City Church in Lee County to the Legacy Fund, First Methodist Church in Americus, or an organization of your choice.
