Atelina Zaguroli Obituary

Born on August 18, 1927, Atelina was the daughter of Dominic and Elisa Liegghio. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan and worked as a clerical typist for the US Government during WW2.
After the war, Atelina married the love of her life, James, in 1947, celebrating 45 years of marriage until his death in 1992.
Atelina is the loving mother of James (Kimberly) Zaguroli, Jr., Janet (Michael) Varlesi, Tina (Marc) Maszara and the late Anthony Zaguroli; cherished grandmother of Jaime Zaguroli, Tina Marie Varlesi, Derek (Joy) Zaguroli, James (Danielle) Varlesi, Leah (Joe) Tassone, James Zaguroli, Jr., Anthony Maszara, Alex (Claudia) Pfau and Nicholas Maszara; great-grandmother of Joseph, Lucas, Lincoln and Aubriella.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 12:30 pm (in state 12 noon) in the Stone Chapel of St. Hugo of the Hills Catholic Church, 2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304.
Following the service, entombment will proceed privately for the immediate family at the Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be addressed to the Detroit Goodfellows in her memory.
