Atha Jean Flud, aged 91, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on December 21, 2024, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home.
Born on July 16, 1933, in Mellette, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Lella Belle (Stubblefield) Shatswell. A lifelong resident of Eufaula. On February 2, 1950, she united in marriage with Roy Lee Flud in Arkansas, a partnership that lasted for 54 years until his passing. She was a member of the Canadian Full Gospel Church
Atha is survived by her loving children: Janice Gray and her husband, GC; Michael Flud, Gordon Flud; Sharon Hightower and her husband, Mike; and Kathy Burns and her husband, Terry. She was a grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eighteen and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lella Belle Shatswell, one daughter; Barbara Jane, husband Roy Lee and numerous loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Gerrod Fowler, Mike Hightower, Terry Burns, Garrett Gary, Larry Newton JR. and Zane Gray.
