Aubryn Watts, age 31, of Trail Creek, Indiana, began her next life's journey on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 surrounded by her closest loved ones, leaving behind a legacy, and a laugh, that will never be forgotten.
While there isn't enough space on a page to describe her, we'll do our best.
She was an avid gamer and a whiz at world building, the best source of encouragement and a witty remark, a boundless well of knowledge, and the best cook any of us ever knew. We will all be starving for information and good food from here on out.
Aubryn was an Untie to the children, and a loving wife to her husband, an inspiration to those who recognized her unapologetic authenticity, an ice vampire ninja to some, and absolutely everything to others.
She enjoyed deep conversations, curating a hell of a wardrobe, collecting obscure vintage games, and hexing her enemies.
So long and goodnight, to our babe, baby, sweetheart, our darlin', doll, madame mistress, our queen, our Untie, our good friend, our absolute best friend, our Aubryn.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Smeets and their cat Merry; her parents, Marlene Elkins-Watts and Kenneth Watts; brother Dilan (Fawn) Watts; her in-laws, Rob (Kathy) Smeets and Alex (Agatha Waranka) Smeets; best friend, Tylo (Jesse) Pullins; niece and nephews, Eleanor Watts, Stefan Waranka-Smeets, and Johnathan Pullins; as well as many other family members, both related and found.
She is preceded in death by her fur baby Remy, and several grandparents and great grandparents.
Friends may visit with the family at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, IN on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
