Audean Marshall, 90, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1935, in Mississippi to Walter Shivers and Melba Baker.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Audean was a homemaker whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brown Marshall; her father, Walter Shivers; her mother, Melba Roberts; and her son, Marlin Marshall Jr.
Audean had a deep love for the outdoors and was especially passionate about fishing at the Ross Barnett Reservoir-where she proudly earned the reputation as the best fisherman around. Her family and friends will always remember her joyful warm and giving heart, and the way she made everyone feel special.
She is survived by her children, Dale Marshall (son) and Jeanie (Rob) Robertson (daughter) and daughter-in-law, Cherrie, her grandchildren, Marlin Marshall, Bradley (Michelle) Marshall, Tyler Marshall and Tiffany and her great-grandchildren, Cole, Keegan, Levi, and Bryona. She also leaves behind her siblings, Otha Shivers and Bobby Ray Smith.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Center Terrace Baptist Church, 605 E Peace Street, Canton, MS 39046. Visitation will be from 9:00–10:00 a.m., followed by the service led by Rev. Sam Brassell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Drive Ext, Jackson, MS 39204, an organization close to Audean's heart.
Audean's life was a beautiful testament to love, strength, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
