Audie Dane Gunter, 77, of Lexington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 10, 2025. Born on January 20, 1948, in Lexington County, he was the youngest son of the late Venson and Juanita Daye Gunter.

Audie loved and cared for his family deeply, and spending time often outdoors, whether working, relaxing, or simply taking in the beauty around him. A skilled carpenter by trade, Audie also worked in construction and farming. Known as a "jack of all trades," he could fix or build just about anything and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a Freemason and wore his ring with pride.

Surviving are his children, Dane Gunter (Lindsay) and Audrea Wolf (Bobby); grandchildren, Katelynn Gunter, Kacey Gunter (Dalton), Kylee Owens, and Ethan Wolf. Also surviving are his brother, Larry Gunter; mother of his children, JoAnn H. Gunter; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Audie was preceded in death by his brother, Jemmie Gunter, and sister, Cheryl Sabbagha.

A graveside service to celebrate Audie's life will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday, August 17th, at Boiling Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Chris Addy officiating.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at Lexington Medical Center and staff of MSA Hospice for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Audie's final days. Their kindness will always be remembered.
