Audrey Paula Adelman

Audrey P. (Shulman) Adelman of Melrose, formerly of Malden, loving and devoted wife & widow of Donald Adelman for over 65 years, passed away peacefully at her home on October 10th, 2024. She was 84 years young.
Born in Malden to her late parents, Celia and Joseph Shulman, she was a graduate of Malden High School. She worked over the years as a clothing salesperson, administrative assistant, jewelry salesperson – and was Donald's chief bookkeeper and well-loved commercial and residential co-Landlord. She thoroughly enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends, gave so much of herself and her time to charitable causes, and also travelled the world with Don. In 1959 she married Donald Adelman, whom she always called the love of her life. She was a caring, loving and devoted wife, sister, friend and mother until her last breath.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her sons Eric and his husband Tony, and to sons Jay and Andrew and to their wives, Jennifer and May, whom she referred to as her daughters-in-love. She was proud of and deeply loved her grandchildren, Justin and Brittany, and Joseph (and his fiancée, Sara Ennis) and Jared (and all of their pets). Dear sister of Martin Shulman and the late Roberta "Bobbi" Epstein.
All are welcome to a funeral service which will be held graveside at the Congregation Beth Israel of Malden Cemetery, 250 Main Street, North Reading MA, on Tuesday, Oct. 15th, at 11am. Shiva will be observed at Audrey's home in Melrose that day from 2-8pm, with a brief minyan service at 6:30pm.
