Audrey Foster Allen, age 89, entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Audrey was a 1955 graduate of Xavier Preparatory High School, and she attended Straight Business School. She was employed as a Paraprofessional (Teacher’s Aide) with Orleans Parish Public School System for many years. Audrey was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a member of All Saints Rosary Group. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Roy Allen, Sr. Devoted mother of Sheryl Ann Allen and the late Joseph Roy Allen, Jr. and Brian Michael Allen. Loving grandmother of Joseph R. (Megan) Allen, III, Amber N. Allen, Darby L. Baham, Jason R. (Mimi) Allen, Brittany B. (Howard) Crumpe’, Tayler A. (Phil) James, Marley V. Baham, and KaiVal A. Howard. Daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Foster and Mable Baxter Foster. Sister of Lavern Foster; also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of Life Center Cathedral, priest and parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, All Saints Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Life Center Cathedral, 2100 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Bishop J. Douglas Wiley, senior pastor; Elder Ray Scott, officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m until service time at the church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 6201 Stratford Place, New Orleans, LA on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 1:00p.m. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
