Audrey Louise Anglin, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away on January 8, 2024, in Niles, Michigan. She was born on April 20, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Joe and Florence (Overbye) Budnick.
Audrey's early years in Grand Rapids shaped her into the remarkable woman she would become. Her marriage to the late Bobby Anglin was a cherished chapter in her life, and together they raised a family that became her pride and joy. Audrey's love and legacy live on through her children, Robert (Lisa) Anglin, Brian Anglin, and Gail (Steve) Smith. Though she faced the heartache of losing her grandson Bradley Ritchey, she found joy and comfort in her many grandchildren: Ashley Lesniak, Kyle Anglin, Brittanie Ritchey, Tonya Ritchey, Tricia Ritchey, Kristina Ritchey, Katelyn Ritchey, and Zackary Tibbs. The twinkling eyes and innocent laughter of her great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Noah, Cayden, Savannah, and Aliyah, brought her immeasurable happiness.
A woman of faith, Audrey was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Her spirituality was a guiding light throughout her life, and she embraced the values of her faith with open arms.
Audrey relished the thrill of a good find at garage sales and Goodwill. She and her beloved Bobby cherished their winter escapes to Florida, creating memories that warmed her heart long after the sunshine faded. Back home in Michigan, Audrey was a Notre Dame fan. Audrey had a special affinity for animals, particularly her dogs, who were the lucky recipients of her endless affection. Her hands were rarely idle, always busy with some project that caught her fancy. Her lively spirit and friendly demeanor made her a joy to be around, and she had a unique ability to make everyone feel at home.
Her love for her family was unparalleled. Audrey's visits to Grand Rapids to see her relatives were occasions filled with laughter and storytelling, the threads of which have woven a rich tapestry of family history that will be cherished for generations.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Audrey's life will be held on a later date.
