Davids, Audrey 78, of Gonvick, MN died on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Meritcare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, MN with the Reverend Tom Jacobson officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 7, 2009 (TODAY), from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN. Interment will be at the Samhold Lutheran Cemetery in Gonvick, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements. Audrey was born on November 21, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Knute and Rhea (Hall) Lind. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from North High School in 1949. Audrey met Robert Davids in the choir at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. They were later married on April 22, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in Crystal, MN and Moorhead, MN before moving to the farm North of Gonvick in June of 1952. In 1965, they moved into the town of Gonvick where she has lived ever since. Robert died on December 27, 2008. She was a volunteer for the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook; she was a Clearwater County Hospice volunteer and she had home bible studies at her house. Audrey was a Sunday School Teacher and a Confirmation Leader and she helped the pastor out with home visitations. She had a life long love for dogs. She put her life and efforts to make a good home for her children and family. Thank you mother for giving to the Lord, our lives were changed because of your example. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Davids of Apple Valley, MN, Amy Davids of Minnetonka, MN, and Elizabeth (Steven) Jakeman of Lonsdale, MN; sons, Daniel (Susan) Davids of Evansville, MN, and James (Chris) Davids of Apple Valley, MN; brothers, Dean (Shirley) Lind of Richfield, MN and Neil (Linda) Lind of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Naida (Arlo) Block of Vergas, MN; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Messages of condolence may be sent to ceasefuneralhome.com
