Audrey Virginia Grubbs
GRAY COURT- Audrey Virginia Morgan Grubbs, 85, of 164 Carousel Road went home to be with the Lord on her birthday, May 24, 2023, at her home.
She was born May 24, 1938, in Spartanburg County to the late Marvin and Edna Lancaster Morgan. She was a retired employee with Wilson Sporting Goods and a member of Selma Baptist Church.
Surviving is one daughter, Maxine Barrett (Tim) of Gray Court; 5 grandchildren, Shane Taylor (Micah), Jessy Barrett (Lauren) Mitch Barrett (Bre), Travis Barrett and Tyler Barrett; 9 great-grandchildren, Nolan Taylor, Harrison Taylor, Easton Sapp, Brantley Barrett, Easton Barrett, Wyatt Barrett, Aria Barrett, Brody Barrett, and Kinsley Barrett. She left behind her big fur baby, Rocky. She was predeceased by two sisters, Blanche Painter, and Juanita Morgan Easler and two brothers, Paul Morgan, and James Morgan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff by Pastors Heath Wells and Cly Gilbert. A eulogy will be given by Mrs. Frankie Gilbert. Interment will follow at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers, Shan Rogers, Mark Lyda, Mike Lyda, Chad Lyda, Scott Morgan, Chris Morgan, Phil Morgan, and Larry West.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.
The family would like to express appreciation to Hospice of Prisma Health for everything they did and to Martha Ann Gault and Evelyn Guy for helping Audrey during her illness.
The family is at their residence, 164 Carousel Road, Gray Court.
