Those who met Audrey felt her quiet care in the way she listened and the ease she brought to a room. Her kind gestures often came from the kitchen. A warm piece of buttered bread was her way of saying you mattered, and she took careful pride in making each meal just right. Details mattered to her beyond cooking; her years in baking showed the same steady hand, always making sure another person's peace of mind came first. Even in routine tasks she left space for patience and understanding. Travel, especially a trip to the beach or a simple afternoon of shopping, lit a gentle spark in her. Friends remember her calm joy by the shoreline and the way she shared small discoveries from each journey. Her circle of love began with her parents, Henry and Mamie Berry, and grew beside her late husband, Oran Demonbruen. She cherished her sons Stephen (Sue) Cato, Michael (Velma) Cato, and the memory of Jeffrey Cato; she also cherished her daughter-in-law, Pat Cato and she delighted in her grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Jamie, Randy, Tiffany, and Aaron. She also held close her sister Lora Tennpenny, while keeping tender thoughts of her brother George Berry who passed before her. Each bond was shaped by countless quiet acts of help and reassurance. As we say goodbye, we carry forward the simple lesson Audrey lived each day: kindness does not need to be loud to last. May her gentle spirit guide our own small acts of care for one another.
