Audrey Owens Obituary
Audrey Justice Owens, age 81, of Georgetown, Kentucky, formerly of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Ernie and Glema Bevins Justice. In addition to her parents, Audrey was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Sach" Owens and by a brother, James Herman Justice.
Before her retirement, Audrey worked as a claims examiner for the US Department of Labor and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pikeville.
She is survived two sons, Brett (Beth) Cool and Chad Owens, by a brother, Ernie E. Justice, by four grandchildren, Brittany Cool Miller, Miranda Cool, Olyvia Cool and Jasper Cool and by numerous family and friends who will miss her and loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, after 6:30 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Ernie Justice Officiating. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pike County Humane Society at P.O. Box 2245, Pikeville, Kentucky 41502.
