Audrey J. Ramsey

SPENCER – Audrey J. (McCallie) Ramsey, 80, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Audrey shared 50 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, the late David S. Ramsey Jr., who passed in 2016. Together, they built a life full of laughter, devotion, and family - the legacy that continues to grow through those who loved her most.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Samuel D. Ramsey of Spencer; Tina L. Cosentino and her husband Ronald Jr. of Medfield; Vickie M. Downey and her husband Thomas of Millbury; and Michele L. Tetreault and her partner Joshua of Spencer. Audrey was a proud and adoring grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her heart. She also leaves behind her brother, Alan McCallie of Mahtowa, MN, and many nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.
Born in Worcester to the late George C. and Jessie F. (Enman) McCallie, Audrey graduated from Leicester High School and went on to work for several local companies - including the Brookfield Shoe Company, H.H. Brown Shoe Company, Landy Insurance Agency, and later Blessed Herbs in Oakham, where she spent 13 dedicated years before retiring.
Audrey lived life with warmth, grace, and quiet strength. She found beauty in simple pleasures - a good book, a favorite TV show, a walk in the sunshine, or time spent tending her garden. She had a knack for bringing people together, whether through laughter around the table, shared stories, or a comforting presence when someone needed it most. Above all, Audrey's greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by them - celebrating milestones, offering advice, or simply enjoying one another's company.
She will be remembered as a woman of deep love, vibrant spirit, and unwavering devotion - a mother, grandmother, and friend who made every day brighter for those who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Audrey's honor, with date and location to be announced for all who wish to pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Pete Frates ALS Foundation, https://petefrates.com.
