Mrs. Audrey Pauline Tanner, age 104, of Dallas, Georgia passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

She was born on November 8, 1920 in Newbern, Tennessee to Mr. Benjamin B. Williams and Mrs. Oma Mae McKnight Williams. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. Her and her husband of 51 years, Martin, lived in the house they built themselves by hand. She worked in a factory building airplane parts during WW2 while her husband served overseas in the navy. She was very active in church as well. Audrey loved the Atlanta Braves, and she was able to attend her first Braves game when she was 90 years old. She had a garden and loved to can what she grew. She was a grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma, and she loved spending time with all 14 of them.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Martin Tanner; grandson, Matthew Martin Conn; brothers, Bill Williams, Benjoe Williams, Leroy Williams, Robert Williams; sisters, Gladys Courtway, Blondell Rice.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Joann Conn; grandchildren, Gene Dutton (Kelly), Stephanie Welborn (Chad); great grandchildren, Lindsey Smith, Lauren Dutton, Autumn Conn, Carder Welborn; great great grandchildren, Madden Sanchez, Stella Sanchez, Paisley Smith, Tinley Smith, Jaxson Sprewell, Alaina Rogers Conn, Alora Rogers Conn; step grandson, Johnny Lamar Conn; sister, Adaline Williams, and other extended family and friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Audrey Pauline Tanner will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Dallas with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12 P.M. until the time of the service at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Dallas.
