Augustus Shapleigh Boyd III, a distinguished veteran and dedicated public servant, passed away on October 28, 2025, in Due West, South Carolina. He was born on December 7, 1939, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Augustus Shapleigh Boyd, Jr. and Amy Jones Boyd.
Known to many as Terry, he was a graduate of The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey and The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, where he cultivated a lifelong commitment to service, scholarship, and integrity.
