Aullean Annasue (Blair) Westerman was born on March 26, 1927, in Magic Springs, Arkansas, the fourth of six children of William Turney Blair and Elizabeth Cleora (Maxwell) Blair. She grew up in Witts Springs and attended school there all twelve years. In 1946 her family moved to Stone County, Missouri, where she met Harold Westerman at a brush arbor meeting. They dated for three months and married on November 16, 1946. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Harold Edward, and a daughter, Theresa Anita.
Harold and Aullean put their whole heart and soul into furthering the gospel of Christ. She served faithfully for years as a Sunday School teacher and in many other roles at her church. Upon losing her beloved husband in November 1989, Aullean continued on in the church's work and in helping her neighbors. She worked for the postal service for many years and retired from her position as postmaster in 1989.
Aullean was a modern-day Dorcas who went around doing good, ministering to others, and praying. It was her mission to take as many to heaven with her as she could.
Aullean was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Marie McGoveran and Juanita Chastain, three brothers J.M., Rufus and Bill Blair, her husband Harold, son Ed, son-in-law Joe Daugherty.
She is survived by her daughter Theresa Daugherty of Clever, daughter in-law Linda Westerman, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 18 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Meadors Funeral Home in Clever. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, and she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Clever, Missouri.
