Aurea San Jose, lovingly known as Tita Auring by those she cherished, completed her earthly journey and entered into the eternal embrace of her Savior on August 29, 2025, in Irving, Texas. Born on October 4, 1930, in the lush landscapes of the Philippines, she lived her life as a faithful Catholic, embodying the grace, humility, and devotion that her faith instilled.

Tita Auring was the beloved daughter of Manuel San Jose and Paula Gutierrez. She grew amidst the vibrant culture and warm traditions of her homeland alongside her five siblings-Prising, Abe, Asiong, Toying, and Enteng-all of whom, together with her parents, preceded her in death. Rooted in her Catholic upbringing, she lived a life of prayer and service, guided always by her devotion to God.

She was the matriarch of a flourishing family tree, her life's greatest pride and joy. Her children-Ruth and her husband Emman, Janice and her husband Vance, Edgar and his wife Pamela, and Anna and her husband Chris-were her heart's treasures, each one a testament to her unwavering love and sacrifice. Her legacy continued to blossom through her grandchildren, Patricia, Bailey, Isa, Hunter, Cody, Nasya, Heston, Harrison, and Ele, and she rejoiced in the wonder of her great-grandchildren, Scarlet and Rea, who brought renewed joy and laughter into her world.

Tita Auring's days were filled with the simple but profound joys that reflected her generous spirit. She found peace and happiness in tending her garden, where she lovingly cultivated flowers that mirrored the beauty she saw in God's creation. Her hands were never idle-whether cooking meals that nourished both body and soul, sewing and crocheting gifts of love, creating delicate cross-stitch works, or painting scenes inspired by the world around her.

Her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She prayed the rosary with devotion, attended Mass faithfully, and lived as a witness to Christ's love. She embodied the fruits of the Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control-guiding those around her not only through words but by the example of her daily life.

As we honor the memory of Aurea San Jose, we are reminded that her story does not end here. It continues in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, the flowers she planted, and the faith she so fervently shared. Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed, her spirit remains a radiant legacy of faith, family, and love.

We celebrate the life of a remarkable woman-a devoted Catholic, a faithful servant of God, a gardener of both flowers and souls, and a matriarch whose legacy is rooted in love. Tita Auring now rests in the eternal glory of her Creator, leaving behind a trail of light for her family and friends to follow until we are reunited in the splendor of Heaven's embrace.

"Eternal rest grant unto Tita Auring, O Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen."
