Aurelia Hernandez, born Aurelia Lozano, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 62. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of love, creativity, and devotion to family.
Born on November 17, 1962, in Plainview, Texas, Aurelia was the daughter of Antonio and Mary Lozano. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and carried that same nurturing spirit throughout her life. Her caring nature touched everyone she encountered, and she will be remembered for the deep love she gave so freely.
Aurelia found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters LeAnn Potts; Romelia Elizondo and her husband Jeremiah; Esmeralda Hernandez; and her son Pedro Hernandez Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Medrano. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Natalia Elizondo, Daniel Elizondo, Alex Hernandez, Luis Hernandez, Aleah Hernandez, JC Potts, Anahi Hernandez, Aaron Hernandez, and Alonzo Hernandez. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Aviana Mae Elizondo.
Family meant everything to Aurelia. She shared a close bond with her brother Tony Lozano and held a special place in her heart for her niece Nancy Jimenez Villagomez and her dearest cousin Sandy Munoz.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Antonio and Mary Lozano; her sister Patricia Torres; nephew JP Jimenez; and the love of her life, Rigo Carbajal.
Aurelia’s passions were as colorful as her personality. She had a creative soul that found expression through arts and crafts—crocheting intricate patterns and creating dazzling diamond paintings brought her great joy. Music filled her home and heart; she loved to dance and often shared that joy with those around her.
Her nurturing presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. May the memory of Aurelia Hernandez bring comfort to those who loved her and continue to inspire kindness in others. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
