Jesse Glenn Lohse, 71 of Nixon, passed away on September 4, 2025. Glenn was born on July 22, 1954 in Nixon, Texas to Alene (Harden) and Clifford Paul Lohse.

Glenn will be remembered as a graduate of the Nixon High School Class of 1972. He proudly served the communities of Nixon, Smiley, Seguin, and Gonzales in the services of Paramedic, Peace officer, Firefighter, Fire Captain and Fire Marshall.

He is preceded in death by his son, David Paul Lohse, his parents, his brother, James Lohse, and his brother-in-law, Robert Travis.

Survivors include his son, Keith Lohse and wife Hannah; grandsons, Kasen Lohse and Kanon Lohse; bonus son, Dustin Beuerlein; sisters, Ruth Flores and husband Frank, and Ruby Travis; several aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Community Center in Nixon, 302 E. Central Ave., Nixon, Texas, 78140.

Private interment will be held prior, in the Nixon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to the Nixon Volunteer Fire Department, 209 N. Congress Ave., Nixon, Texas, 78140. Also please go do something nice for someone as it is the correct thing to do, go visit someone in the nursing home, volunteer your time on a project, buy a college student a meal, whatever you feel led to help in your community.
