He leaves behind a legacy of love and family: his sons, Aurelio Alejandro de la Peña, Jr., Rigoberto de la Peña wife (Nicole) of Las Cruces, NM and Manuel de la Peña companion (Ana) of Truth or Consequences, NM, his daughter, Ramona "Mony" Sanchez and his sister-in-law Gloria Granillo husband (Manuel "Chico").
