Austin John-Lorenzo Facundo

Austin John-Lorenzo Facundo passed away and was welcomed into paradise unexpectedly on October 13th, 2024 in Bay City, Michigan. He was born on November 18, 1994 to Alexander and Ricarda (Castillo) Facundo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Camila Marie Facundo, Lorenzo Braxton Facundo and Sebastian (Chachi) Rey Facundo, and his siblings: Anthony Facundo, Alexander (Kayla) Facundo, Jr. and Adriana Facundo.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Lorenzo Castillo, Ricarda Castillo and LaDonna Castillo. His paternal grandparents: Roman and Paula Facundo. His uncles: Fernando Facundo, Santiago Facundo, John Buczek, Dave Gohm, Douglas Trerice and Rick Castillo. His aunts: Susana Velasquez, Santiaga Facundo and Alicia Facundo. His cousins: Sheila Mateos and Kendra Castillo
Austin loved sports. Baseball was a favorite, and in his younger years you could always find him with a bat in his hands, and as an ace on the mound. As an adult, he continued his love of competitive sports; enjoying the thrill of online gambling, playing video games, and spent many hours mastering his golf skills. Austin was employed at Leddy's Lawncare.
Austin leaves behind a loving family including his nieces and nephews: Zanden Facundo, Brendan Bachman, Zandria Facundo, Zavien Facundo and Zaelia Facundo. Godfather: Paul Grauherr. Aunts and Uncles: Stanley (Janice) Perez, Larry (Linda) Castillo, Nancy Gohm, Virginia Grauherr, Isabel (Thomas) Cleary, Lupe (Patricia) Castillo, Helen Trerice, Teresa George, Mary Buczek, Esther (Tom) Fuller, Felix Castillo, Oscar Facundo, Alfredo Facundo, Gilberto Velasquez, Gerardo (Angelita) Facundo and Beatriz (Jose) Velasquez, and many cousins, including his three closest, Cruz Velasquez, Jose Velasquez and Skyler Buczek who shared a special bond with him throughout his life.
Visitation will be held at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home on Monday, October 21st from 3pm-8pm with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Bay Valley Christian Church, 2535 Wilder Road, Bay City, MI on Tuesday, October 22nd at 11am with luncheon to follow. The family will be accepting visitors at Bay Valley at 10am till the time of service. Pastor David Ferranti will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorial contributions to be made to the Facundo family for the educational support of Austin's minor children.
