Nancy Lynn Curry was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 21st, 1973, to Norma and Clement Curry, Sr. Nancy was welcomed into the family with great excitement because she was their first and only daughter! Nancy was the third eldest of all the Curry children.
Nancy is predeceased by her deeply cherished younger brother Randy Gene Curry and both of her adoring parents: Clem, Sr. and Norma Curry. On Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, Nancy returned to the arms of the Lord in Shields, Michigan after prolonged illness. On this day, she was happily greeted on the other side by her family. It was a reunion that Nancy had been patiently waiting for. She had especially longed to be reconnected with her mother and brother.
Nancy was very ambitious in her younger years and pursued a degree at Delta College in Computer Science and Graphic Arts. She enjoyed photography, design, volleyball, badminton, physical fitness, and every kind of music. Nancy always had a Kodak disposable camera ready for every event that her and her family attended. She captured every precious moment that she spent with them and loved assembling giant photo albums full of these memories to peruse over with her children.
Nancy had a lot of dreams for herself in her short life. Some were fulfilled, others just short of that. Nancy had an unusual amount of obstacles thrown her way in life that made her efforts more complicated. Her dreams and her wishes are being carried out and live on in her two children, Samantha (Jonathan) Davis and Bradley Curry. She is also celebrated by her siblings Clement (Susan) Curry, Jr. and Jerry Curry. Nancy will always be carried in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Jeffrey Techlin, Joshua Curry, Amber Curry, and Brendan Curry and her great-nieces: Aurora Techlin and Lorelei Curry. Nancy had a lot of love that she wanted to share with the world. It was her deepest desire for everyone around her to just be happy and to thrive in life. She only ever wanted to love her people and be loved in return.
Please join her family for a celebration of Nancy's life on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home located on 608 N. Madison Avenue in Bay City, Michigan. The family will greet friends from 4:00 to 7:00 pm to share in beloved memories of Nancy and support for those she left behind on this earthly terrain.
