"Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. "
They simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again."

Sue A. (Harms) McCaw, age 72, of Merrill, Michigan passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday September 28th at the Toni & Trish House, Auburn Michigan.
Sue was born to the late Raymond A. & Phyllis A. (Nolan) Harms on November 20, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan. She grew up on the Harms Family Centennial farm outside of Merrill, Michigan with three sisters – Monica (deceased)R. Schaeffer (Denny), Marilyn J. Katt (Lawrence), & Lynn D. Bucher (William). She attended grade school at Valliere Country School & Breckenridge Community School & in graduated from Breckenridge High School. After high school, she obtained her RN Nursing degree from Delta College and then worked at several health care facilities including St. Mary's & St. Lukes Hospitals, Saginaw, Michigan (as and ICU Coronary Care Nurse) and Midland County Health Department (as a Visiting Nurse).
Soon after college (April 14, 1973), she married her high school sweetheart Barry L. McCaw (deceased). Barry & Sue's family included three sons: Eric M. McCaw, Christopher J. McCaw (Gina) & Corey L. McCaw (Kaylee). As the family grew, Sue was blessed with eight grandchildren: Aaliyah McCaw (Alan Hogan), Brandon Deloe (Mariah), Conner McCaw, Elizabeth McCaw, Taylor McCaw (deceased), Maddax McCaw, Adyson McCaw, & Kasen McCaw. Most recently, the family welcomed a new great grandchild, Hazel Deloe. Sue had special friends & relatives in her life, but was very thankful for Richard T. Harness (deceased) and cousins: Carol Nolan, Linda Jackson, Beverly Newton,
As a young adult, she worked in the fields to help with farming activities including a "whole lot" of tractor driving & of course "hoeing" (not her favorite chore). She was also active in the Midland County 4-H activities & supported her sons as they participated in the Porter Ball Club & Breckenridge Community Schools sport teams. The boys recall Sue would often join in on the family friendly competitive sport activities (never a bystander). Sue helped & strongly encouraged the boys as they participated in school academics & sports, even if it meant staying up through the late evening hours to get things done.
Sue loved shopping for shoes and dressed for warmth throughout the year. Sue also enjoyed lemon flavored candy & cakes and most recently, having her son Eric cook for her. On the other hand, baking was not a fun activity for her, and you could recognize the impatience with making cookies by how big the cookies got as she baked (small cookies at the beginning and huge cookies at the end - the boys loved this part). Sue enjoyed shopping for antiques, traveling in their restored Studebaker Hawk, was a fierce euchre player, and loved to watch sports team with special emphasis on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions & Breckenridge Community Schools Teams. Sue was hardworking, feisty, smart, adventurous, courageous in the face of adversity, but most of all loved her family. She loved hard and often worried that you were o.k. The family recalls that one day near her home, Sue showed no hesitation in climbing down a big deep ditch and climbing into a car to help rescue an injured driver who had crashed & needed help. Sue often showed concern and tried to help others, regardless of the cost.
"This Little Light of Mine
A Gift You Passed on To Me
I'm Gonna Let It Shine
To Guide You Safely on Your Way
Your Way Home"
