Minnie Griffin McCaw, 78, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Raymond and Maggie McCarver Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert McCaw; her siblings, Lois Turner, Lela Grubb, Raymond Griffin, and Gene Griffin; and her dog, Buster.
Minnie loved to be around her family. She enjoyed playing on her Ipad, watching western movies, and crocheting blankets, that she would donate to shelters.
Ms. McCaw is survived by her daughters, Melissa Rudisill and Crystal Bailey (Kyle); her grandchildren, Matthew Rudisill (Katie), Kenneth McCaw, Maggie Bailey, and Kyle Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Kynleigh, Landon, and Logan; her sister, Ann Smith (Terry); and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Ms. McCaw will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will greet guests from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
