Our beloved sister and aunt passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Sanctuary at Auburn Assisted Living, age 77.

Mary was born February 20, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Robert and Louise (Mennes) Duemler. She attended St. Alphonse Grade School in Grand Rapids and graduated from Visitation High School in Bay City in 1966. After high school, she continued her education at Delta College.

Mary worked for many years as a secretary at Bay Medical Center before retiring. A woman of faith, she was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Bay City and for many years shared her musical talent by playing the organ at St. Maria Goretti Church.

Mary's interests were many and full of joy. She loved roller skating, bowling, playing piano and guitar, listening to music, traveling, and shopping. She also enjoyed visits to McDonald's and Bob Evans, especially with an iced coffee in hand.

Surviving are her siblings: Joyce (Donald) Comtois, Dorothy Schultz, Barbara Duemler, Walt (Ann) Duemler, and Jim (Joanne) Duemler; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ken Schultz.

Mary will be remembered for her love of music and the joy she brought to her family and friends.

A Liturgy of the word service will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 2956 E. North Union Road, Bay City, MI 48706. Deacon John Copes will preside, and private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will gather at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
