Robert E. Duemler

Mr. Robert E. Duemler, 78, of Perth, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Born on April 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Eric Duemler and Elizabeth Drozinski Shea.

A lifelong area resident, Bob was a 1965 graduate of Perth High School. He attended Cobleskill Ag & Tech before following in his family's footsteps as an entrepreneur. He first started Bob-A-Doo's RV Center in 1969. In 1980 he opened High Rollers, a local attraction, still in operation today. In 1994, Bob added batting cages and later go-carts to enhance the business. Bob also started High Standard Homes, builder of many modulate homes in the area, retiring in 2017.

An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and simply being outdoors. He took great pride in his home, and in his floral and vegetable gardens, growing several varieties of tomatoes. He also enjoyed woodworking, etching and carving several unique pieces and building custom furniture for family and friends.

In his younger days he raced his 1966 GTO at Saratoga speedway and he enjoyed water skiing and downhill skiing. It was then that he met the love of his life, Judith D'Alesandro. United in marriage on October 25, 1969 they spent nearly 56 wonderful years together.

Bob was never one to sit still. He always had a project or a hobby he was trying to become proficient in. One of his lifetime goals, was to receive his pilot's license, which he took great pride in.

A true American Patriot, Bob lived and achieved the American dream. He loved his family, friends and community fiercely. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Judie; three children, Eric and Kim Duemler, Christine and Tim Munn, and Dr. Matthew and Dr. Emily Duemler; six grandchildren, Ashlee, Autumn, Robert (Gretta), Carson, Harper and Lucas; one great granddaughter Ava; many cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his sister, Carole Dandino.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11a.m. at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Peter Russo officiating.
