He was the beloved father of Aubrey Stein and Gavin Stein, and former husband of Andre Ranson Stein. He was the cherished son of Kevin and Linda Maurin Stein and brother of Evin Stein (Ali). Austin was the uncle of Boston Stein, and the grandson of Fern Stein, and the late Alvin Stein, J.D. Maurin, Sr., and Gladys "Audrey" Vicknair Maurin. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Peter Catholic Church, Highway 44, Reserve, Louisiana, on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by the Memorial Mass. His burial will follow in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
