Austin Ryan Witthaus, 25, of Centralia, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL surrounded by his family.
Austin was born March 23, 1997 in Centralia, the son of Christine Witthaus.
Austin is survived by his mother: Christine Witthaus of Centralia; 2 brothers: Blake Witthaus of Centralia, and Declan Cranford of Centralia; three sisters: Morgan Witthaus of Centralia, Azlynn Witthaus-Strait of Centralia, and London Witthaus of Centralia; grandparents: Debra Worlds and husband Robert of Centralia, and Everett Witthaus and special friend Laura of Alton; and one niece, Reagan Witthaus of Centralia; step-brother: Jake Cranford; two step-sisters: Amber Cranford, and Taylor Cranford.
Austin was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother: Vera Brueseke.
Austin was known as an avid Sports fan, especially basketball. Austin will be missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral Services for Austin Ryan Witthaus will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia before the time of service on Saturday. In memory of Austin, memorial donations may be made to the family (Christine Witthaus) and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Witthaus family.
