Ava Diana Holt, who was born in Des Moines, IA on July 1, 2005, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 15, 2021 in Des Moines, IA at the age of 16.
Ava attended Waukee High School and was currently in her Junior year. She had a free spirit and loved music, spending time with friends and going on family road trips. She had a big heart and a beautiful soul, and was happiest when helping others. Ava loved spending time with her twin brother, William, listening to her little brother Max play music and snuggling with her mom and dog.
Ava is survived by her mother Elizabeth (Robert) Olson of Waukee; father Halston Holt of Tacoma, WA; twin brother William and little brother Max; step-sister Jess (JJ) Thorius and their sons Easton and Ames; grandfather Brian Loynachan of West Des Moines, IA; grandmothers Willetta Fraizer of Des Moines, IA and Lori (Jim) Bochner of Indianola, IA and great-grandparents Dixie Loynachan, Diana Kroes and Jaap Kroes. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Lennie Terrell.
A Candlelight Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Centennial Park (Corner of Ashworth & University) in Waukee.
Ernst Funeral & Cremation Services of Waukee has been entrusted with final arrangements.
