Ayden Anthony Stockstill, age 14, of Picayune, MS, returned to his Heavenly Father on
Thursday, May 15, 2025. Born July 15, 2010 in Gulfport, MS, he lived most of his life in
Picayune, MS. Ayden was a freshman at Picayune Memorial High School, where he was on
the honor roll and played varsity soccer. He was an active member of Rolling Hills Baptist
Church, and was baptized at Life Church.
Ayden was a remarkable young man in a very special season of his life. He was maturing in
front of our eyes, moving from being a child to a young man. He wanted to be good at
everything he did. He was an intelligent student, who enjoyed his drafting class in preparation
for his future career as an engineer.
He was a dedicated and passionate soccer player with dreams of playing travel soccer this
summer and hopes to play in college. He worked hard to reach his goals, always with the
loving support of his family, especially his father. Anyone who watched him play could see his
love of the game.
He was a teenage boy who did typical teenage things like refusing to smile in pictures, yelling
at video games, playing hard at sports, shrugging his shoulders in response to questions, and
had a hard time sitting still. He enjoyed fishing with his dad. Ayden shared a special bond with
his cousins, and they loved to take turns playfully getting on each other's nerves, a tradition
that brought plenty of laughter over the years. He had a playful, kind and faithful soul. He was
a loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and teammate. He will be terribly missed by so
many.
He now rests in the peace of Christ, reunited with his beloved mother, Maia Rose Bouchard,
who he deeply missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Christopher Anthony and Andrea Stockstill;
paternal grandparents: Natalie Stockstill Moak and Louis Moak, and Chris and Tracy
Stockstill; his maternal grandparents: Richard and Cynthia Bouchard; his aunts and uncles:
Michael and Amy Stockstill, Rebecca and Cory Mataya, Jennifer and Shane Anderson,
Shelbie and Ryan Williams, Rachel and Jason Evans, Aubrie Stockstill, Cerise Bouchard and Craig Caudill,
and Mireille Bouchard and Thomas Sartin; his cousins: Liam, Ella, Garrett, Remy, Makenzie,
Mason, Taylor, Carley, and Kinley; his girlfriend, Madeline Jackman; and numerous coaches,
teammates, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at The Life Church, 801
Hwy 11 South, Picayune, MS. Funeral Services for Ayden will be held Saturday, May 24,
2025, at 3:00 pm at The Life Church, and officiated by Bro. Leo Burge.
Internment will be at the Rolling Hills Baptist Cemetery, 1386 McNeill Steephollow Road,
Carriere, MS with the Rev. Barry Lee officiating and under the direction of McDonald Funeral
Home.
The family wishes to recognize the generosity and comfort provided by Pam Forbes of Cotton
Blossom Florist, Nell's Sweets & Treats, Sheila Cooper and FNB, Coach Brandon Butler, the
students, teachers and staff of Picayune Memorial High School, the emergency personnel
who attended the family at the accident scene, the members of the Rolling Hills Baptist
Church and The Life Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the "Honor Ayden's Memory: Support His
Family by Brandon Butler" at GoFundMe.com, established to help the family meet funeral and
medical expenses (Ayden's parents were also injured in the accident).
The family has also established the Ayden Stockstill Memorial Foundation to honor Ayden's
memory by funding awards and scholarships to students and youth organizations in the
Picayune community. Contributions can be made at any FNB location or by mail to: Ayden
Stockstill Memorial Fund, FNB, 121 East Canal Street, Picayune, MS 39466.
Finally, the family wishes to thank the people of Picayune whose overwhelming display of
support has been so comforting to them in this time of grief - this "little" town has a BIG heart.

Great kid, that I had the privilege to watch grow on the soccer field and play against him during scrimmage games, my Son´s Ethan & Evan always liked him and enjoyed playing with him... I hurt and still see his smile and eyes opened wide looking at me as I held his hand talking to him .. I guess God needed a great Soccer player for his team ... love ya man Coach Simmons
