Azalene Elizabeth Gray Amacker
June 14, 1956 - September 6, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Mrs. Azalene Elizabeth Gray Amacker was called from Labor to Rest on September 6, 2023, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Azalene, lovingly nicknamed Mollie, lived a full life enjoying her children, grandchildren, family, friends and church family.
Azalene leaves behind two sons, Eric M. Bosby (Ameka), and Quantrelle Donta Green (Nekitdress), and Stepson, Jamelle Amacker. Azalene was also a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Azalene was an avid shopper and could find a bargain anywhere. She has been known to decorate her home for holidays, and was a gifted seamstress, making her own clothing since she was a teen.
Azalene was also a zealous worshipper and was known for her elaborate flair of dress as she attended worship services.
An unknown poet said it best, "God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. So, He wrapped His arms around you and whispered, Come unto Me. You didn't deserve what you went through, and so He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. So, when I saw you sleeping, so peaceful and free of pain, I could not wish you to come back, to suffer that all again."
As we bid farewell to Azalene, let us rejoice in the memories we shared and the good times we spent with Azalene as she will forever be our SUNFLOWER!
