Dominic J. Oliver Sr.

Dominic J. Oliver, Sr. age 91, died of cancer on 26 June 2025 in his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida with his surviving family members. Dominic is survived by his wife Jacqueline, his son Dominic Jr, his daughter Corinne with husband Mark DiLandro and grandson Christopher J. Iodice.
Dominic was born on 6 January 1934 in Watertown, New York to parents Louis and Josephine Oliver. In January 1951, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Dominic served 3 years including a tour in Korea and was Honorably Discharged.
Dominic returned to Watertown and worked as an Electrician for Local 910 IBEW until his retirement after 42 years. On 12 February 1955, he married Jacqueline Pepp at St. Anthony's Church. Dominic was an avid hunter and gardener. Neighbors in Watertown shared the abundance of his garden plot behind 19201 Woodside Drive. Dominic was a semi-pro heavyweight boxer for a few years, a skill which he learned in Watertown and improved in the Marine Corps. For many years Dominic and Jackie would travel to Florida in the winter months and share a home with John and Anna (Annie) Pepp. Once Dominic and Jackie settled in Port St Lucie, he was a communicate with St. Bernadette Church.
Another hobby of Dominic's was playing cards with a small group in his community. His family and friends will remember many stories with Dominic thru the years including his sense of humor and how well he looked after Jackie including their 70 years of marriage. Dominic always supported his IBEW and was very proud to maintain contact and attain a 70 year pin.
Arrangements for Dominic are being coordinated with All County Funeral Home. There will be a mass celebrated at St Bernadette Catholic Church in the future. A separate burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery at Royal Palm Beach Florida.
All family members want to thank each and every person who have given their time, friendship and prayers for Dominic. He had a good and blessed life and was with our Lord Jesus Christ right to the end.
