Born September 20th, 1973, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Lovingly known as “Nolo” to family and close friends or “Grande” to his crew and coworkers, Armando was an honorable man who dedicated his life to his family and friends. Armando was not always understood for his playfulness or sternness, but he was a man who wore his heart of gold on his sleeve. Armando never refused a helping hand to anyone who needed a stern, loving, or awkward piece of advice which he gave freely because if there’s one thing for sure it’s that Armando never hid behind a bush when he felt it was his duty to correct wrongs— including his own. Armando knew how to take criticism and word lashings just as equally as handing them out. It didn’t matter whether you knew him personally or simply had the pleasure of sharing a cold one or a cigarette after a long day. Armando’s charisma, wisdom, and playfulness was easy to acknowledge. His tragic and untimely death has not only shaken the core of his family and friends but also his crew and coworkers. Armando was always proud to work alongside his crews who were an extension of his family. A pipeline inspector for the oil fields of the greater West Texas area, Armando always presented himself with integrity and strived above all to always keep his crew safe. There was never a barrier too big to keep Nolo/ Grande from pursuing his passion of being a bilingual pipeline inspector. Entering rest on August 11th, Armando leaves behind his loving wife Margaret M. Garza their three children Alma A. Garza, Ariel R. Garza, Armando Jr. G. Garza, a bonus daughter Solidad P. Dominguez, siblings Maria Inez Garza Garza and her husband Joel Garza, Ramiro Garza and his wife Consuelo Garza , Javier Garza and his wife Anel Garza, nieces and nephew Irene Garza, Jazmine Dominguez, Aaliyah Dominguez, Eliana Garza, and Esteban Garza. Armando is now peacefully resting alongside his parents Ramiro Garza Garza and Irene Cisneros Garza. Armando will be profoundly missed but will continue to live on in the hearts of those who will carry him forever. Armando’s widow respectfully asks from the deepness in her heart that anyone in the oil field hold their loved ones a little tighter, a little longer, and above all remain safe and cautious to the many dangers that await in the field.
~With love, the Garza crew.
