Baelin Ace Davi passed away on December 2, 2025 after a long battle with rhabdomyosarcoma. He was 16 years old and a day away from his 17th birthday.
Baelin was born December 3, 2008 in
Salinas, California to Vincent and Stephanie Davi. He was their rainbow baby and brought joy and light to their lives the minute he came into this world. He was full of energy and very early on he grew to love nature, water and sports and that love would carry on throughout his lifetime.
He was an amazing big brother to Ian and Samantha and was always ready to play catch or shoot hoops whenever asked. He always wanted to watch them succeed in whatever sport they were tackling and tried his best to make any game or event they were participating in. He was also a dear friend to so many with his quick wit and outgoing personality and he was rarely seen without a huge smile on his face.
His early years were spent at Debbi's Daycare and Laurelwood Elementary school, where he developed friendships with students and teachers that would last a lifetime. His love for sports led him to baseball at Continental Little League, Toro Pony, and CCYB; basketball at the YMCA, Rec Center and Washington Middle School; and his favorite sport- football! While playing on the Steinbeck Tigers, Bay Boys, Central Coast 49ers and the Salinas Cowboys football teams he created bonds with friends and coaches that he carried very close to his heart his entire life.
Fond memories will be had of Baelin camping in places like Big Sur and Lake Camanche, swimming in the Monterey Bay, eating calamari on the Warf, catching crawdads in the Carmel River, riding his bike through old-town Salinas, watching him play any sport he chose to conquer, and simply playing in the kiddie pool in the front yard with his siblings and neighbors while squirting water guns or throwing water balloons. Holidays and birthdays will never be the same, and he will be missed with an emptiness that will never truly be filled.
His early love of Jesus and the promise of heaven helped him immensely while he fought at the end of his life to beat his disease. He wanted so badly to stay here on earth, but he knew that he'd truly be okay no matter what Gods plans were for him. His memory will never be forgotten and his legacy will carry on through each and every one of his family and friends he touched so deeply during his short time here.
Baelin is preceeded in death by his sister's, Abigail Marie and Emily Elizabeth Davi, his uncle Clay Davi, his Nana Debbi Davi, his Grandpa Donald Gardiner, and his Grandpa Mike Campos.
He is survived by his parents, Vincent and Stephanie Davi, his siblings Ian and Samantha Davi, Grandparents Robert Davi, Steve (Liane) Gardiner and Lynda Rogers; Aunts Leslie (Adam) Gardiner and Leigha (T.J.) Campos; Uncle Aaron (Marisa) Campos; and cousins Tyler (Shelby) and Isla Davi, along with numerous other extended family and friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends that loved him dearly, and his beloved cats, Smokey and Kitty.
