Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roy W. Barber Funeral Home on Apr. 23, 2025.
Bailey was born in Frederick, MD to Marty and Christina More. He attended St. John's Episcopal School in Olney, MD and graduated from Glenelg Country School in 2013. He attended American International College in Springfield, MA and majored in business and more importantly played Division I Ice Hockey as a power forward. He developed lifelong friendships while playing college hockey with "his boys." He was active at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Damascus, MD and served as an acolyte, youth group member and participant in work camps where he did home repair in depressed areas of the country for needy families.
He played baseball and basketball during his undergraduate years and excelled in both. He was a passionate golfer and traveled the country and beyond to fulfill his bucket list of the top golf courses in various states. He often organized golf trips with his 1,000 Greens and Friars Club fellow members along with his father, mother and friends. Among his favorites were Bandon Dunes, Sleepy Hollow, Ridgewood, The Golf Club, Old Town Club, Camargo and 100 other top 200 courses. He was also about to become a Golf Digest course rater, which would have opened him to most every top course in America.
He was a member of Montgomery Country Club in
Laytonsville, MD and played as many Saturday mornings that would allow with the Duffy group. He and his family frequently visited his parents at their southern home in Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island where many memories were made.
He was an accomplished musician who often entertained attendees at his parents' Christmas parties along with his various hockey teammates in hotel lobbies where a piano was present. He participated in Keyboard Musicianship, Theory, and the Guild Audition Tests. He attended Organ camp and was fascinated with the mechanics of the instrument.
He met the love of his life Bailey Greseth More in St. Anne's Youth Group when they were in middle school. He attended Bailey G's pom performances while she attended his hockey games. Their relationship survived the distance between AIC in MA and UCF in FL where Bailey G went to school. This was due in large part with Bailey's ability to find cheap flights between the two states. They wed on October 16, 2021. They traveled the world together including trips to the Maldives for their honeymoon, Vienna Austria for the F-1 race, Cinque Terra in Italy, Germany for the Christmas markets, Paris, France, Calgary and Edmonton, Canada and most recently to the Grand Canyon with his sister Tessa and her partner Lon.
Their daughter, Stella Autumn More was born on January 31, 2024 in Frederick, MD. They shared their love of travel with Stella jetting off to the Great Smoky Mountains in TN, Hilton Head Island, SC and Kingsland, Georgia to see Rachel, Bailey G's mom in Venice, FL to see Greg, Bailey G's father and Christine, Bailey G's stepmother.
Predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Michael More, maternal grandmother, Dolores Tazik, maternal grandfather, Andrew F. Tazik and maternal uncles Andrew P. Tazik and John Tazik. He is survived by his wife, Bailey G More, daughter Stella, cat Julius, parents Marty and Christina, sister Tessa and her partner Lon Morris, and paternal grandmother Joan More. He is also survived by his friends Bryant Christian, Ryan Rogers, along with members of his Tony Gray hockey team, MCC MGA group, He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and the memories of a loving and attentive husband and father, devoted son, loyal brother and steadfast friend will live on in our hearts forever.
